So I only took a turn round the park in the end, but don't worry I have a more ambitious schedule ahead of me for my time off. If I can summon the energy to move.
It was worth it though, because in a spot out of the wind, where the blossom still bloomed, there were lots of insects having an early dinner - bumbles, solitary bees, hoberflies, a bee fly too.
I managed to get a few decent pictures of what was on offer, as well as a lovely solitary bee on the way home.

ReplyDeleteAs usual I love your daily shots Si. I keep meaning to tell you - a friend who has been physically handicapped for many years is making perfect use of lockdown. She is a good artist (but the same could be done with photography if you were so inclined). She is sitting in her garden and each day recording what she sees - birds, insects, flowers - then in the evening she is sketching them into a book and painting them and making notes, so that at the end of it all she will have a perfect record.
