Bike Shop Cat is Happy

A 90 minute Boris walk today, via Asda, on a chilly old day after all the heat. Fresh wind blowing, but still pleasant enough in the sun although not many insects about.

I walked past the bafflingly still open bike shop in town today, which doesn't appear to have got any actual way of getting through all the junk when you open the door. This is of no concern to Bike Shop Cat, who on any sunny day is guaranteed to be sat in a sunny spot in the window, or even on the door step.

If there are no customers, Bike Shop Cat gets to sleep undisturbed, and as such is happy.

It took me for a long time to realise that Bike Shop Cat has a very similar friend or sibling, known as The Other Bike Shop Cat, because I've only ever seen the two of them in the shop at the same time once.

Whatever cat is was, the current crisis is not bothering them.

  1. Well it's certainly not basking on a pile of velvet cushions is it Si?

  2. It amuses me how cats seem to enjoy sleeping in the most uncomfortable looking places. Bike shops are deemed an 'essential service'.

  3. Bike Shop reminds me of Percy's Shed - he was an old man in our village who mended bikes and who had a seemingly endless supply of brake-blocks, cotter pins and chain links, all kept in a variety of old biscuit tins.

  4. Bike Shop cat looks beautiful. We met railway cat today.

Bike shops are considered essential services, so can remain open however messy they are I guess
