Recent Oddments

Well, during the last few days of activity - there was a 5km walk and a 9km run today to go with  the  visits of the last couple of days - I've accumulated some other photographs from various places. Just a few splashes a colour.

The main news nature wise is the emergence of holly blue and orange tip butterflies - indeed I've had a couple of holly blues spiralling away in my garden today.

What's coming up as the temperatures drop a little over the weekend? We shall see.

  1. Isn't it great to see the flutters again... say my first Orange Tip yesterday and all of a sudden the flutters are more frequent with the sun and warmth..

  2. Love the cat. Is it yours?
Haven't seen a butterfly up here yet.

  3. Lovely image of the tortoiseshell butterfly.
Saw a couple of orange tip today and a holly blue.
Yesterday saw several brimstone butterflies, one of my favourites.
A lovely time of year, when new life starts to appear.

  4. Speckled wood was a new sighting today! Another lovely day, despite a splash of rain

  5. Beautiful photos.
    Have a nice weekend
