The Golden Castle on the Silver River

Sometimes you go out and just don't want to pressure yourself with the expectation of running a long way, or craning your neck treeward to take photographs of things that probably won't come out.

Sometimes all you want to do is just get out there and go walking, listening to the radio, and in general, just mooching with no direction in mind.

If there is something to see, then snap it! But don't go looking for it until your eyes pop out of your head.

If it's there, you'll know.

Si

  1. The walk with no direction certainly produced the goods - lovely photo :)

  2. Thank you! Photos bleeding over their supposed size again. It's totally random the way blogger does this.

  3. Nice pictures. To sort out the problem go to your blog (if you're not already on it reading this), look in the top right hand corner and click on "Design". You'll see a little picture of your blog page top left where it says "Live on Blog". Click on "customise" underneath that. Click on "Adjust Widths" (top left). You will now see two sliders marked "Entire blog" and "Sidebar". You may want to write down or memorise the existing widths in case you want to return things to their present state). By dragging the "Entire blog" slider further towards "max" you should correct the problem. You can see what effect your adjustments are having directly below. When you've got it right just click on "Apply to Blog" and, Hey Presto, you should have pictures without writing all over them. All you'll lose is some of the shocking pink either side of the yellow panel.

  10. Is that Newark castle illuminated for Christmas Si? If so, it looks quite beautiful.
