Travels with my New Camera

"This camera is bust Bro. If you can get it to work, it's yours..."

So said my sister just before she headed for the bus station, leaving with a new today that I would probably  not get to use due to my utter ineptitude with gadgets. Grrrrr. An hour later, with the insertion of a charged battery, it was working.

So I took it for a run, a 12km jaunt up to Coddington and back through the nature reserve. I'd love to say the pictures are superb - it's a Fuji Finepix JX-100 with 12mp  - but they aren't. It doesn't have a macro setting, so struggles with close up shots, has to battle my shakey hands, and is tricky to get to focus.

But I think it has potential, and should end up better than my mobile phone. We will see.

  1. By my standards Si they are excellent photos. My hands are so shaky most of the time that macro is almost always a no go area.

  2. Thanks! I have the same problem, I'm sure it isn't helping my shots any!

  3. From the results I'd say you got a great deal there Simon.

  4. Thanks! Hopefully today's results look better too! It's a handy device to take running and what have you, but I still plan on getting a bridge camera for other expeditions.
