An Infestation of Alpacas

I gave you a teaser of the Flawborough alpacas the other day, when I encountered them on my ride to Kilvington to go birdwatching.

Owning alpacas seems to be quite an in thing these days, it's not the first little wooly group I've encountered on my travels round here; they are at Farndon, a quiet lane in Balderton and some on the way to Lincoln.

There are probably other enclaves, plotting the day when they might unite and overthrow their human masters and take over the world. In the meantime, according to the British Alpaca Society;

"the production of quality assured alpaca fibre outside of South America has huge potential in the European marketplace."

Which means that UK Alpaca-ists will probably face trade embargoes and massive ruminant wool tarrifs now that we've left the EU.

Still my mother adores them and the merest glimpse of an alpaca sends her into overload. So I'll show her these pictures after I've finished writing this.
