Another Crackin' Owd Bike

Brought to you by the Legends of the Heron, Raleigh themselves.

This bike showed up today in our work bike shed next to mine; I had never seen it before and was immediately fascinated by it, the sprung seat, the huge bell, the gears.

I wouldn't want a bike like that to ride to work, but somedays I'd love a Steel framed classic bike to go to Eroicas...look good in retro kit, sail my glitteringly painted steed in an elegant Sportive, and then relax in the village with an esperesso or two.

Never happen. I don't have the hands to maintain a bike like that, and all strong coffee does to me is cause panic attacks and trembles. But is a dream, and it is always fun to enjoy nice old things.

Enjoy the photographs!

  1. Lovely bike my OH would have one if we had the space, not to ride as he has one for all occasions ! that's what happens when you work in a bike shop...
