Anyone tell me what this lovely moth is?

Isn't he a beauty? Like a Vulcan bomber, just saw a pair of these sat on my stepfathers car tyre at 7pm  - this was the larger of the two.

    It's a Lime Hawk-moth, often seen in town around lime trees strangely enough. Enjoyed reading your blog, I am plucking up the courage to start my own.

    Please let me know when you do! Always glad to get new readers on this thing, it's low level and unsophisticated, but I'd like to think the writing is a little different and it has uses!
